Vacation Time
I've accomplished quite a bit in the last month, but seeing as I didn't bring my USB cable up north, pictures and updates will have to wait. Michigan, as usual, is gorgeous. More importantly, it's an average of 15 degrees cooler than it is back home. We leave Sunday- expect a slew of posts afterwards!

Mckenzie's Mill. #68 complete.
Last weekend, Big Sis was in town. Friday night, we went to a burlesque show- major bust! The transvestite who spent most of his/her time strutting around in heels managed to twist it's ankle and required a trip to the hospital. Saturday night our entertainment choice was much more successful. One of her friends is in the band McKenzie's Mill, and they were playing at The Stumblin' Pig in Mebane. The boys put on a fabulous show- they were actually better live than on their CD... I wonder if they do weddings...

Bow-tieful!
In preparation for the wedding marathon weekend, I made JH a bowtie! I found a pattern and directions on Greg's Blog, but I used cotton instead of silk. I couldn't find any patterns I liked with silk and have since looked online for better silk, but alas, a fruitless search. The only other person wearing a bowtie at the wedding was an adorable two year old whose mother wants me to make some for him! Idea for an etsy shop...? Total possibility.

Hummin' Bird
JH, Mom and I completed #59 on Friday when we stopped in for a tour at the Red Oak Brewery. The tour lasted about an hour, and afterwards, they let you sample all of their beers- as much as you'd like to sample. Needless to say, the tour was definitely worth $5 and we came home with some new beer glasses. My favorite of the brews was the Hummin'Bird, which was much lighter than the traditional Red Oak and the Battlefield Bock.
I also spent some time at Balance Day Spa, where they attempted to give me some basic make-up application instruction. I think I absorbed most of it, and my proudest achievement has been putting on purple liquid eyeliner flawlessly.

100th day update
Tasks completed:
2. Get Caroline's air conditioning fixed.
16. Run in a 5K.
25. Make my own dress.
49. Wake up before 9AM every day for a month.
67. Figure out a way to organize all my jewelry and do it!
81. Buy a nice digital camera.
My nifty calculator tells me that I am approximately 5.9% complete. However, I've started a few other goals, so I think I'm on track for the amount of time that's passed.
Goals I'd realistically like to complete in the next 100 days:
3. Read then organize all my dental hygiene magazines and information.
6. Back up my computer.
27. Finish level 1 of Rosetta Stone Spanish.
33. Get rid of 1 thing per day for 3 months.
36. WWOOF for a week.
50. Go to a parade.
83. Finish my Carolina t-shirt quilt.
93. Learn all of the ranks in the Army.
94. Take JH Up North.

#81 complete!
I bought a new camera! A Nikon D3100, and it takes fabulous pictures. So from now on, all my posts should be accompanied by a stunningly crisp and brilliant photo.
